We've been co-sleeping with our son Trev eversince he was born. At first, I was hesitant because I was afraid we might crush him while sleeping. But maybe, the parent's instinct was too powerful because it never happened. :-)
We bought him a crib/playpen but he rarely slept there. He would always wake up whenever we try to put him down his crib. There were lucky instances wherein he would sleep in his crib but that's very rare.

Co-sleeping is also very convenient for a nursing mom like me because I get to feed my baby while on the side-lying position. We're both comfortable that way.
He's now 16 months, the crib has long been gone from our room, and we've been co-sleeping happily with our son. I love co-sleeping with him. I can feel him beside me, I can smell his baby scent and I can touch his soft skin. That's when he doesn't do any of the sleeping positions below. Haha! No, just kidding. I don't mind if he does positions like the "Snow Angels" or the "Roundhouse Kick". I just love sleeping beside my baby (and my hubby too of course!).
I found this on the web and I can't help but share this here on my blog. It's just too cute. For those who co-sleep with their babies, you might have a good laugh seeing this. :-)

I did have a good laugh myself because my husband and I have experienced all that's shown in the picture. Pretty amusing, huh?
I find "The Stalker" really funny, though. Haha!
How about you? Are you practicing co-sleeping too?
haha.. that's hilarious! :))))
ReplyDeleteyeah, i find it really funny too. :-D
DeleteIn the morning, I usually find the baby on my tummy trying to get to the other side. The H usually happens to us and the neck scarf to her dad.
ReplyDeletehaha! i noticed that dads are always the "victims" of neck scarf. LOL! thanks for sharing. :-)
DeleteI have experience the snow angel a lot when we were co-sleeping with the kids. Now I push them off to their own beds. The older 2 share a room while the youngest girl has her own single bed next to my bed. At least can sleep in peace :)
ReplyDeleteDominique @Dominique's Desk
wow, you're lucky to have rooms for your kids. :-)
DeleteI'm co-sleeping with my baby, too, Vanessa! I tried direct so-sleeping before (my boyfriend works in another city), but my baby fell. So what I did was create a sidecar arrangement with his crib. Here's my post on how I did it: http://www.davaomommy.com/2013/01/our-sleeping-arrangement-sidecar-crib.html
ReplyDeleteChecked your post, mommy maan. nice one. wish we had a crib though, pero what we had was a playpen, aw! my baby fell too a few times from our bed, and it was indeed very traumatic for me. i was crying more than my baby was! thanks for sharing your post. :-)
Deletehahaha! that was a cute post! =) Saw me and my husband in some of the positions. But soon I think co sleeping is not entirely good for the marriage, well same with long distance but what the heck right?
ReplyDeletehaha. thanks leslie. cute baby sleep positions indeed. :-)
DeleteThe Roundhouse kick and the stalker are so funny! I'm co-sleeping with my 17-month-old and her elder sister. The daddy stays on the mattress on the floor with our second.
ReplyDeleteThe stalker is really funny, right? :-) Thanks!
DeleteI was laughing while looking at the picture I also co-sleep all my children (8, 6, 1) until now. kawawa nga iyung daddy kasi siya yung ang "outsider" lagi.
ReplyDeleteReally? Wow, nakakaaliw naman kayo. Funny because the daddy always fall "victim" of the dog house, di ba? haha! :-)
DeleteWe were like this when we only have Julia. But now that we're a family of 4, we're scattered everywhere LOL!
ReplyDeleteHaha! natawa ako nang bongga, jhari! scattered everywhere talaga?! LOL! :-D
Deletewe've tried co-sleeping too when they were babies. not so much now para di masanay. without saying it, my hubby might not like it as much as i do. for sure there are days hubby wants no kid/s around. *wink*
ReplyDeleteyeah, since my son is still a baby, we're still co-sleeping but when he grows a little bigger and hopefully by then, we'll have our own place already, he would have his own room, too. yeah, i agree about the hubby too. *wink* :-)
Deletei experienced this co-sleeping when my 2 kids were infant to toddler
ReplyDeleteang laki ng tawa ko sa pictures haha.. nakarelate ako
di ba? makakarelate talaga most of us parents, haha. ang likot matulog ng mga babies. hihi! :-)
Deleteang kulit, hehehe ang lilikot lang sa bed.. hihi
ReplyDeletedi ba, ang likot ni baby matulog haha :-D
DeleteThe photos are indeed hilarious! :)
ReplyDeleteIt would really be a pity if either you or your husband would unconsciously roll over your baby. But I think the mother will be more patient than the father when it comes to this.
really hilarous! imagine the baby rolling and tumbling all over the bed! funny! :-)
