We're actually not fans of Spongebob Squarepants (the TV cartoon series) but that doesn't mean I don't find Patrick The Starfish cute. Hihi! So, when Bikini Bottom was brought to SM The Block, we just couldn't resist taking pictures. :-)
Spongebob Squarepants Summer at the North has been ongoing since April 5 and will run until May 31, 2013. So, whether you're a fan or not, you can check it out and you'll find cute displays of Spongebob and his friends at The Block Atrium.
We've been seeing the display since April 5 but we only got the chance to take pictures last May 1. Reason behind? Well, either we're going somewhere else or there's just too many people taking pictures. :-)

Big Picture Frame! :-) |
When we took this pic above, there was no one else but us, but while we were already in the middle of picture taking, a long line of people suddenly came in waiting for their turn to take pictures! Mabenta! :-)

Spongebob's Pineapple house. |
 |
Closer look of Trev at the Pineapple house. :-) |
 |
I think this snail's name is Gary, Spongebob's pet. |
 |
This is the only picture we have of Patrick. I find him the cutest among all the Spongebob characters. |
 |
Inside The Krusty Krab. |
There's a line of people almost all the time when you want to take a picture inside The Krusty Krab. Good thing that a security guard is present to organize the queue.

Squidward. :-) |

Tatay's only picture with Spongebob. Sayang at faceless pa si Spongebob diyan, hihi! :-) |
We had fun taking pictures with Spongebob and his friends at the Bikini Bottom in SM The Block! Go check it out, I'm sure most kids will love it there! The display will be until the end of this month.
Here's a preview of the calendar of events of Spongebob Squarepants Summer at the North!
Ang nice pala sa The Block. I've never been there. I hardly recognize SM North now. I used to frequent it during my college days. Looks like a fun place for kids.
ReplyDeleteMy daughter loves Patrick And Spongebob. She will surely go NUTS if we got this one at the nearby mall.
ReplyDeletegreat photo ops haha
ReplyDeletei like spongebob...hmmm makapasyal nga sa sa SM North
Cute spongebob! :D I miss the days that my kids and I would chase after these cartoon characters. Ha ha Now, my kids, already boys, are starting to chase girls. hahaha
ReplyDeleteCute spongebob! I miss the days when my kids and I would chase after cartoon characters like this. My kids, already boys, are starting to chase girls! Ha ha!
ReplyDeleteI hope we can visit this one before the it ends..I'll ask mommy to visit this place with Matt.
ReplyDeleteDo you live near the area? My house is just around the corner!
ReplyDeleteyes, sis. the apartment that we're renting is just a stone's throw away from SM North EDSA. mga dalawang tumbling lang, hihi! kaya laman kami ng mall kasi puwedeng walking distance or super short ride lang ng tricycle. hihi! wow, you're lucky kasi you have a house here. ang ganda kasi ng location dito eh noh? di bahain and very near nga sa mga important establishments like malls, church, schools and hospitals. i'm also hoping and praying that when the time comes na magkaron kami ng sarili naming house, malapit din dito. :-)
Deletethat is a good crowd-drawer. kids would really clamor for some photo op with the cute characters.
ReplyDeleteAng cute! You've captured Spongebob and friends in photo :) I think the life-size display is all over SM, hanggang the Sky Garden din. I'm sure pati kayo ng hubby mo natuwa din :)
ReplyDeleteHow cute! When the kids see the pictures, they'd really think they actually went to Bikini Bottom. :-)
ReplyDeleteAh. I miss SM North. Wow! My kids love Spongebob but I don't because of Squidward. He uses the word "Stupid" and kids easily pick it up.
ReplyDeletei agree sis. that's the reason why we are not fans of the cartoon series. we don't like kids to learn those bad attitudes. parang tom and jerry, naghahabulan lang and nagsasakitan. well, it's just our opinion though. others might not think that it's a big thing for their kids. :)
DeleteAy sayang! Dun lang ako sa Sky Garden nag picture taking...meron pala sa Block but I rarely go on the part of the mall kasi. If I had known, dun ko sana na-picture-an ang mga nephews ko...
ReplyDeleteNaku, we must be here. My daughter is a big fan. I started not liking spongebob either but I'm glad they've reformated it to be child friendly unlike when it started.
ReplyDeleteLooks like you were at the bikini bottom yourself! Nice pictures!
ReplyDeletei have a niece who loves spongebob...
ReplyDeletenice pictures
