The first time we had lunch here, Trev was still a little baby. Now, he's already an active toddler. How time flies talaga!
Anyway, my first impression when we first tasted the crispy fried chicken at Manang's Chicken in SM North Annex was "Parang pinoy version of Bonchon's chicken". I'm not sure ha, pero that was how it tasted to me. And yes, it's delish!
This time around, when we had our lunch there last week, Allan and I opted for a different order para maiba naman. :-)
While waiting for our orders, picture muna with my cutie patootie! :-)
Trev's lunch, spaghetti! |
Our order, Sesame Beef Stew Rice Meal. If I remember correctly, that's Ph99 each. |
Tatay, hungry na! |
Look at that poor little baby in a corner. :-) He's hungry na rin! |
While waiting for his food, he asked for his Marie Biscuits. |
Notice his shoes? He was the one who asked me to remove it for him. Haha! |
Trev: Nanay, you want some? :-) |
He was so happy when I took a bite of his Marie Biscuit. :-) |
Our verdict? Hmm, I would have to say that their signature double deep fried crispy chicken meal is still their best meal so far. I like the spicy one! Next time we have lunch here, we'll definitely opt for that again. The sesame beef stew rice meal that we ordered didn't quite meet our expectation. The potato chips was good though. As for the spaghetti, I could say that Trev still loves Jollibee spaghetti better. :-)
i love manang's chicken! XD i suddenly miss their fried chicken...
ReplyDeleteSabi nga ni Manang's Chicken is a must try. Maybe when we go to SM North we will try it nga. Bihira na kasi kami lumuwas since we had Matt.
ReplyDeleteI wish!I can have one right now. I love fried chicken! I never tried Manang's Chicken, I bet its really good:)
ReplyDeleteI wish I could hit the metro and just enjoy foodhopping there. :) Definitely, this is a place to check out. :)
ReplyDeleteThis makes me want to try the double deep fried chicken. I love Bon Chon, so I'm sure the Pinoy version is more delish!

ReplyDeleteI heard about Manang's but I always forget to eat there when I am in manila.
ReplyDeletehuwaw...Manang's Chicken...i thought it was the same Manang's that we have in Intramuros (the Famous Manang Chicken and Pork chop stall sa wall near Lyceum and Mapua). This is the first tome I've heard about it and i think it's worth a try. Hoping to eat at this place when I get back in Manila soon. But the spaghetti???? It would always be Jolibee for me. :-)
ReplyDeleteI never tried Manang's Chicken but one of these days I will try signature double deep fried crispy chicken meal and that chips. I think nothing will compared to Jollibee spaghetti for the kids. hehehe. Trev is so cute!
ReplyDeleteMuch love,
