My Human Heart Nature Loot

Finally! I was able to order my very first loot from Human Heart Nature (HNN) after I became one of their dealers. It was a pretty smooth transaction. Love it! When one of the items that I ordered was not available, one of their staffs called me up a few hours after I placed my orders online. So nice! She happily assisted me in replacing the items not in stock and even helped me in adjusting the discount since the amount of my purchase already reached the next mark (meaning, I got a higher discount na! yey!)

Actually, I purchased this about two weeks ago, and as expected, since I have been very busy, I only got the chance to blog about it today.

Anyway, here's my HNN haul. I'm so happy with all the items.

Finally, nakita ko rin ang box! :-) It's really so nice that their items are safely contained in this big box.

Heart-Shaped Tamagoyaki Bento

Recently, I learned that I can make a tamagoyaki in the shape of a heart. I got so excited that I had to make it and add it in one of the bentos I've been packing for hubby.

Also, I have finally made my first ever home-made furikake. It's made from grated carrots, sesame seeds and soy sauce. I think I kind of burnt it a bit, though. Hahaha.

Last week's bento were the following:

Mama, yes you can!
Staying fit and fab during your pregnancy

By Amanda Griffin

Motherhood is one of the most demanding jobs a woman will undertake, and pregnancy can be a challenging time, especially for first time moms. As soon as the word gets out that you have a child on the way, family and friends can be overwhelming with everyone wanting to share a piece of their “pregnancy wisdom”. We don’t just deal with the physical changes our bodies go through but also pregnancy myths that have been talked about for as long as I can remember.

Trev's Birth Story

Last Saturday was my son's 2nd birthday. We didn't have any kiddie party for him. The three of us just went on our usual stroll at SM North EDSA. Had our family photo shoot taken at Pic A Boo in The Block, had lunch at KFC, and Trev rode the Carousel after. Before going home, we bought a birthday cake for him at Red Ribbon. Had some pictures taken at home, made some wishes and blew his candle. The next day, we brought Trev to iPlay and he played for one hour. Then he rode the Carousel again (he loves it kasi). It was very simple but our little toddler was very happy. Maybe next year, we can throw a simple party for him. :-)

I'll post about the details of our simple celebration next. For the mean time, I would like to post my labor story. This is the first time I am going to post this. I wrote this a few days after giving birth because I didn't want to forget anything. I want to cherish and treasure each moment. When Trev grows up, I would like for him to know how he was born. Hmm, I wonder how he'd feel like when he reads this.

This is very raw. I didn't edit anything because I wanted it to sound like that day, after I gave birth to our adorable son.

Warning: Very loooong post.

Oct 22 - Prenatal Checkup. I was IE'd by my OB, sabi niya sarado pa daw ang cervix ko at floating pa si baby. Sabi niya kailangan ko daw talaga maglakad lakad para bumaba si baby. Actually, the previous week pa niya ako pinaglalakad lakad pero di ko pa kinarir kasi I was only on my 36th week and natatakot akong mapreterm. When she checked my fundic height, estimated weight ni baby was 6.5-6.8 lbs na so I shouldn't eat too much na daw, else baby will grow bigger and mahihirapan daw akong ideliver siya normally.

Taken October 22, 2011. After check up. Little did we know that I will give birth pala 4 days after this picture was taken. hihi! :-)

No Bake Oatmeal Cookies

When I wasn't yet blogging, one of my past times was cooking/"baking", which my friends and I call "Pa-cham", short for pachamba chambang luto. Haha! I love those quick and easy recipe that requires just a pan or the microwave oven. Since during that time, we didn't have a stove, I was using our ever reliable rice cooker to cook whatever I want to cook, yes including this recipe which I'm about to tell you. Anyway, I have made this no bake oatmeal cookies a few times in the past already. I made some again two weeks ago (as usual, late post, booo!) because my little guy doesn't seem to enjoy his usual oatmeal breakfast (with fruits) anymore. Thus, the twist. :-)

Breastfeeding Portraits

When we were at the Mabuhay Restop during the Mom and Me Fun Circuit event held last October 5, I was amazed when I saw these lovely paintings of mothers breastfeeding their babies. How lovely!

Breastfeeding Portraits at Mabuhay Restop

I think there were still a few more paintings that I was not able to take a picture of but everything was really so beautiful. I was so glad to see that they're displaying portraits like these as in my opinion, it could somehow help spread the word that breastfeeding is really one of the best things that a mother could give her baby. :-)

P.S. If you've read my blog before, you would know that I am pro-breastfeeding. Proud and blessed to be breastfeeding my son for 24 months now and still counting. So happy! Thank God for the blessing!

My Saizen Loot

So, after our fun time at Kevin's Toys & Library, Allan, Trev and I went straight to Saizen (still in Trinoma) because I wanted to check if they've already replenished their stocks of bento items. I really wanted to add more tools, hihi!

It was a  happy time for me as they did have a lot of new items. Sadly, they still haven't replenished their food picks though. I found none eh. :-(

Here's my loot.

Lots of kitchen towels for Ph88 for a pack of 3. I also got Allan a pair of slippers, also Ph88.

And here's my bento tools! Each item is Ph88. Yay, I think I went a little overboard. Hahaha! Okay lang, I'm sure I'd be able to use all these naman especially for Trev's bento. :-)

Mommies who have baby boys, I feel like you can also relate to this quote, yes? ☺
I do. ♥

Boiled Egg Bento

I really have no idea what title I'll put in this post. So, since both pictures have boiled egg in them, thus "boiled egg bento". Toinks! :-P

Allan had a lunch meeting last Monday, and Tuesday was a holiday so I didn't have to prepare bentos for the entire week. :-)

Anyway, I've only had two pictures to show. It was supposed to be three but I didn't take a photo of the other one. Woke up late and was rushing. So after I prepared hubby's baon, I immediately packed it so he can go to work na and won't get late.

One Happy Saturday at Kevin's Toys & Library

Aside from me and hubby, Trev actually has no playmates at home. Kami lang dalawa ni Allan ang kalaro niya. So, we try our best na ilabas siya paminsan minsan para naman may ibang tao siyang nakikita at nakakalaro. The other week (actually about three weeks ago, yeah, late post again, bwuhoo!), Allan said he wants to bring Trev daw to Kevin's Toys & Library in Trinoma. We've been there a few times already, kasi based on our experience, mas okay dun kesa sa ibang indoor playgrounds na nasa loob din ng mall.

Trev was so happy when we were already inside the play area. I haven't even removed his shoes yet and he wanted to go in and play na. Haha!

This car/airplane is new at Kevin's and it's the first one that Trev saw. Excited talaga!

Simple Joys Photo: Trev and his "Dabarkads"

Trev just finished bath time and I left him for a while inside our bedroom to get some stuffs in the kitchen. (Note: Our apartment is pretty small, around 20-25 sqms only, everything is in there already, and the kitchen is right beside the bedroom, I can always throw a quick look at him even when I am at the kitchen.)

When I came back to him, this was what I saw. He gathered some of his toys beside him and cuddled them. Hahaha! He does this often actually, but with only one or two of his toys lang. Pero, this time, aba, he gathered more!

His favorite is actually Pacho (brown chipmunk puppet) and Teddy Bear. But he also loves Sab (yellow round dog) and Dino (blue dragon). He always makes Police Car and Lightning McQueen race, too. And oh, he sometimes cuddles Dice (green with yellow dots) because it's so soft.

Kaaliw, parang may pulong (errr, meeting) sa kuwarto namin. Hahaha! :-P

Complimentary Books From HowToLearn

I honestly don't know how I came to know this website but I am so thankful that I did. (Note: If it was thru your blog, please let me know. I am really grateful. )

Anyway, I got Trev's first ever personalized kindle book from HowToLearn.com last August. And I got more complimentary books last month, which unfortunately I was not able to blog about. :-(

Just yesterday, again, I was able to download free kindle books from HowToLearn. I am so thankful and happy that I wanted to share how you can also get complimentary kindle books for your kiddos, too. I have already mentioned it when I blogged about Trev's personalized kindle book (link above) but I want to post it again here for all you moms and dads to know.

Some of the complimentary ebooks I was able to download from HowToLearn.com. Can you spot Trev's personalized book? :-)

Our Mom and Me Loots (October 5 Event)

Mom and Me gave away lotsa loot bags to all the participants during their Mom and Me Fun Circuit event. They also gave away raffle prizes wherein we were very lucky to win some items. :-)

Here were the contents of the Mom and Me Loot Bags when we joined the event last October 5.

Our Mom and Me Loots (October 5 Event)
Our Mom and Me Loot bag!

It contains different magazines like Smart Parenting! I'm so excited to get my hands on that. As of this writing, I haven't yet, no time. Huhu. There were also leaflets from their sponsors, a Mom and Me pen and some sample products.

Simple Joys Photo: Trev's "Work of Art": His First Picture Frame

Trev's Picture Frame :-)

I just have to post this again. :-) I can't get over my son's "work of art" when we were at KidzArt courtesy of the Mom and Me Fun Circuit event. Allan and I are just really very proud of Trev. Probably, some might say that it's just some splashes of paint here and there and some shapes pasted everywhere but for me, it's so perfect. My son chose all the shapes and colors and he painted everything all by himself. And he isn't even two years old yet, probably the youngest among all the kids during that day. We're just happy and proud parents. :-)

Trev's Bento Baon at the Mom and Me Fun Circuit

Based from the event guidelines of the Mom and Me Fun Circuit last October 5, we have to have an early lunch and to bring snacks because we'll have so many wonderful and enjoyable things to do the entire afternoon. So, I just decided to pack a bento snack baon for Trev so he can eat while we're inside the bus.

Here's what I prepared for him.

Trev's Pinwheel Bento

I was able to make another bento for Trev the next day after I made him his first. ☺

Here's what I was able to come up with.

Again, this isn't much. It contains some tamagoyaki and some peanut butter and jelly sandwich made into pinwheels. Like the first time, he finished everything. Not in photo, but he also enjoyed one piece of banana after he munched on his bento. Oh, I'm such a happy nanay once again. ☺

Look here!

Trev's First Bento

I made Trev his first bento about two weeks ago (late post, bwuhoo!). Anyway, after I finished making my hubby's bento baon one morning, I decided to continue working on the kitchen to make Trev his bento while he's still sound asleep. I've always wanted to make one for him kaso whenever I start my attempt, lagi siyang nagigising, haha!

Anyway, here's the result.

This isn't much actually. It's just some whole grain cornflakes (he loves to snack on it), peanut butter pinwheels, cheese sandwich shaped like a gingerbread man and some stars. I also added some slices of banana.

When I served it to him that morning, this was his reaction.

He loves yogurt. Look, enjoy na enjoy oh, hihi! :-P

A Fun-Filled Day at The Mom and Me Fun Circuit!

It was indeed a fun-filled experience when we joined the Mom and Me Fun Circuit last October 5. It was some sort of a field trip for all the moms/dads and kids who attended the event. We road a colorful and fun bus at Ortigas where we travelled to our first destination at Mabuhay Restop in Luneta. Our next stop was at KidzArt in Shaw Boulevard and finally we went to Mind Museum in Bonifacio Global City.

For several days before the event, I had been suffering from a very bad case of tummy spasm and headache and I felt like that day was one of the worse days (I just brought Kremil-S and some paracetamol for some temporary relief, which sadly didn't take effect by the way), but despite that, I was still so excited as this was my son's first time to join such an activity.

Since my son doesn't have any playmates at home (well, his only playmates are just us--me and hubby), I was hopeful that with this activity, he'd be able to enjoy and interact with other kids. And as a matter of fact, he did! Yey! At one year and eleven months, I guess he's the youngest kiddo during that day but indeed, all the activities were easily adaptable to all ages and so my little toddler was not left behind. My husband joined us of course, and the three of us had tons of fun!

Here are some photos to show you the fun and educational activities that we had.
