I mentioned
a few posts ago that one of my closest friends who happens to be Trev's Ninong also, invited us to his birthday celeb. We had a buffet lunch at Vikings, SM The Block. It was my first time there actually.
We always go to SM because it's the nearest mall to our place and we always pass by Vikings whenever we go to The Block but we never really got the chance to eat there because we honestly find it quite expensive during weekends. Weekend kasi is the only time we can go there since Allan has work on weekdays. That's one of the reasons too why he was not able to join us during that day as it was on a Thursday. Sayang. Maybe next time. Siguro pag may special occasion and we have extra budget, we might consider. :-)
So, it was only Trev and I who went to Vikings on that Thursday lunch. It was a super fun day. I got to see my very close friends, whom I haven't seen in a while. I missed them a lot!
Anyway, here are some photos to help me tell you the story. :-)

The place was very nice, for me it looks very luxurious. I felt so awkward because I'm not really used to going to places as elegant as this. I wished again that sana Allan was with us during that day so he could experience what we had, too.

She's my super super, bestfriend, Michelle. Oh, I love her so! Anyway, she was helping me here get food for Trev because, you know, ayaw magpababa ni Trev, hihi! He's shy and he'd definitely cry. |
There were so many choices of food! From Korean, to Chinese, to Japanese, to Pinoy, and more, waaaahh! I guess, it's really true that one day is not enough for you to taste all their wonderful dishes. Their lunch schedule was from 11:30am to 2:00 pm, and even during that span of time, I think we were still not able to make a full round because of the many choices. Haha!
 |
Just a portion of their Japanese food! Yummy! |
Some samples of what we got.
 |
Of course, the spaghetti is for Trev. Haha! He also got to eat the mashed potato and that yummy bread (I forgot the name, sayang! But it was really soft and creamy and yummy!). All the rest in this plate I got to eat. :-P |
 |
My plate. :-P All were yum, too! |
 |
Wiiii! :-) |
 |
They also got some hot pot! |
They also offered soooo many different kinds of desserts! Being a dessert lover that I am, I was "drooling" just seeing all these on display! :-P
 |
Death By Chocolate. Super yum for me! |
 |
Just a portion of their dessert display. They have more! |
 |
I think this is Red Velvet Cream Cheese. Trev ate some of it. |
 |
Avocado and ube ice cream! Two of my fave flavors. Sayang, they didn't have pistachio. |
 |
Trev enjoyed the strawberry mousse. :-D |
I don't usually let Trev eat too much sweets. But I let him taste some during that day only. :-)
We all had a great time with all the food Vikings offered. Super full! Anyway, while we were eating, a group of Vikings crew were roaming around while singing and dancing and greeting all the birthday celebrants during that day. We had a blast when their group went to our table. They made a little show and it made all of us laughing out loud! Super kaloka sila! :-D

That guy on the left wearing vest was so hilarious! Hahaha! Ganadong ganado sa pagsayaw! We had him on video but somehow, I have been having a hard time uploading it. Tsk tsk! |
 |
Busy with his Ninang's iPod Touch. :-) |
 |
Busog and happy! |
|

 |
Still babywearing Trev at almost 24 months. :-) |
 |
All of us! :-) |
Thank you so much, Kuya, for inviting us to your birthday celebration! Happy birthday! It was nice seeing all of you again after a very long time! :-)
Anyway, I was not able to take a picture of Vikings' rates but I saw this when I tried to google it. (The birthday celebrant was free when we went there because they have an ongoing birthday promo.)
Click the picture above for a larger view of Vikings' rates.
Have you been to Vikings recently? How was your experience? What can you say about the dancing crew? Did you find them hilarious, too? :-D
Let's Stay Connected!
Oo nga.. I've heard a lot of good things about Viking. Now that Davaoeños have a taste of it here na, might as well go na rin.. Yun lang a bit expensive nga talaga..
ReplyDeleteI never been there, I don't know if I'll get a chance.. hehehe
ReplyDeleteWow! Vikings serve baked oysters and hot pot. I really must dine in there the next time I'm in Manila!
ReplyDeleteLooks like all of you had a great time, tasting all the dishes available! happy birthday to your friends!
ReplyDeleteWe were there on Thursday and we waited an hour to be seated. Haha. No special occasion, we just felt like it. The salmon sashimi is my favorite, I always have two plates full of it. Last Thursday was the first time I tried their chocolate chip cookies and I loved how it seemed hard on the outside but soft and chewy on the inside. I took all that was left in the plate, ate 2 and brought home 3 pieces. haha :)
