Occasion Bento

I couldn't think of any other title for this post except "Occasion Bento". I made use kasi of Trev's birthday cake in one of the bentos and a few days after his birthday was Halloween naman, so I made something for the halloween.

Simple bentos for simple celebration. :-)

Top Pictures:
1. A slice of Trev's birthday cake, an egg, skinless longganisa and some seedless grapes (skewered in a heart pick).
2. A ghost egg (with nori for the details), Kikiam (that looks like creepy fingers to me, which reminds me, I should have poured ketchup on it for that added creepiness!), and some cherry tomatoes (which I was supposed to make into Jack O' Lantern, but I ran out of time), cucumber slices and nori wrapped rice.

Bottom Picture:
3. Braised pork, an egg and some seedless grapes.

I was supposed to make a creepy eye out of the boiled egg. I even prepared the "marbled" egg the night before but when I checked it in the morning, the marble design didn't somehow stand out from the egg, so I didn't pursue. I was supposed to try to make one again in the morning but Trev woke up earlier than usual so I had to rush and make do with what's available, thus the ghost egg. Haha! It didn't look as creepy as I would have wanted it to be but nonetheless, I had fun doing it even if I only had a short time to prepare. :-)
