We were lucky that eversince Trev was born, he never really experienced having diaper rash. Even when we were still into disposable diapers. And I'm really very thankful.
On the other hand, he perspires a lot causing him to have prickly heat rash especially on his neck area. What I do is apply petroleum jelly and it works wonders so far. After a few days, he's all good. It's summer once again so his neck has prickly heat rashes all over again. Huhu.
Anyway, I mentioned a few posts ago that I availed of additional cloth diapers for my son and that Asya's Cradle was so kind to add a little something to my package. Which is of course, the star of this post, haha! CJ's BUTTer!
I have read a lot of wonderful things about this product, especially in the FB cloth diapering group where I belong to. Moms said that it's safe to use with cloth diapers. You see, not all creams are cloth diaper - safe, some are not advisable to use as it could cause repelling. Personally, I never really use any on Trev when I don him in cloth diapers because like what I mentioned above, we're lucky that he's not prone to diaper rash. Another thing is, I am afraid the product I will use, if ever, could cause his cloth diapers to repel or leak. Which of course, I don't want to happen. :-P

My son found the little jar of CJ's BUTTer from our fluffy mail! And uh-oh, he doesn't want to let it go! Haha! |
Anyway, I found out that CJ's BUTTer has a lot of other purposes! It's also called a "miracle in a tub" by some. I read from Asya's Cradle's FB page that it could also relieve the following:
- Eczema
- Rashes
- Dry/chapped skin
- Rug burns (sore "crawler" knees)
- Mechanics’ hands and cuticles
- Hang nails
- Lacerations and abrasions from rock climbing
- And could also be use as a leave-in conditioner for your curls. Just rub a small amount on your hands and apply on hair.
Wow, that's a lot pala noh?
It's all natural, too! I first used in on Trev's prickly heat rash. And I've proven that it's really amazing. The next day, his neck's redness has lessened and it was noticeable that his heat rash has indeed subsided. Wow! Awesome product, it is!
A little amount could go a long way. |
Out of curiosity, I also tried in on his diaper area after his night time wash, right before his bed time. The next day, when I washed him, I noticed that it did repel liquid from his bum without drying his skin. But didn't cause his cloth diapers to leak. How nice is that!
CJ's BUTTer is being sold for Ph85 (0.5 oz) I think. I am actually considering of getting another because I'm really satisfied. I love the Tuscan Herb variant but hmm, maybe I will try a different scent when I purchase. Yes, they have a lot of scents to choose from!
Have you tried this product yet? What rash cream do you use for your little ones? Anything that's cloth diaper friendly perhaps? :-)

Thanks thanks! :-)
DeleteFor a short moment, I was thinking kung pwede to sakin because I have rashes. Hehe. At least, it worked for Trev. That's good.

Thanks!
Aww, so thoughtful and sweet. Thanks, Mommy Helene, for the award! Will head on your blog. I am sure it's going to be interesting! :-)
DeleteGreat review on the product Sis. I love having lotion or ointment on hand all the time My daughter have very bad eczema problem until now still popping out from time to time. I'm going to look here if I can find something like that or similar. I badly needed some cj's butter for my daughter.
ReplyDeleteThe cream looks really good! I'm a sucker pa naman for products with all-natural ingredients - well, I'm a convert! Haha. Right now, I'm contented with my GIGA cream, but maybe I'll try this in the future! Hindi na kasi masyadong nagda-diaper si Yuri eh, so I've no reason na to buy more CDs. Do you know where else we can buy this?
ReplyDeleteNaku, sis, potty training Trev is quite a challenge. He has bladder control na but lately he's holding it in, as in pinipigilan niya talaga. I blogged about it a few posts ago. I fear magka-UTI siya so I would rather wait and continue guiding him, I don't want to pressure him baka lalo tumagal. Sooner or later I know he'd learn naman how to use the potty. :-) You're so lucky Yuri learned how to use the potty early. Kay TMS sis, I saw one album, for sale yung CJ's BUTTer. :-)
DeleteI have always used the baby oil from Human Nature for the diaper rashes and other itchy spots. Although mahapdi sya kapag pinapahid sa diaper rash. I wonder if CJ's BUTTer is mahapdi also?
ReplyDeleteThat sounds like a really cool product.. glad that it was useful for you.
